In accordance with my last submission is the second scene shot from London after Midnight. the film cost $152,000 and was shot in only three weeks, the shortest schedule and lowest budget of any of Lon Chaney's MGM efforts. however earnings of $721,000 insured it was listed in the top 10 grossing films of 1927. Whether or not a print of this film ever shows up after it's copyright runs out may be the last hope that a surviving print may still exist somewhere.

There was a good documentary style version of the film based on the surviving stills and screenplay that Turner Movie Classics made a few years ago, and it is still shown around Halloween. Interestingly enough, it was remade with Lionel Barrymore, Bela Lugosi, and Jean Hersholt in 1936 as "The Mark of the Vampire".
